TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — Raymundo Moreno hit a two-run triple in the fourth inning, leading the GCL Yankees East to a 3-1 win over the GCL Yankees West in the second game of a doubleheader on Tuesday.

The triple by Moreno scored Sandy Mota and Miguel Torres to give the GCL Yankees East a 2-0 lead.

After GCL Yankees East added a run in the sixth on a single by Asdrubal Alvarez, the GCL Yankees West cut into the deficit in the seventh inning when Gabriel Mora scored on a ground out.



GCL Yankees East starter Anderson Munoz (1-2) picked up the win after allowing just three hits over five scoreless innings. Opposing starter Kenlly Montas (0-4) took the tough loss in the Gulf Coast League game after giving up two runs and six hits over five innings. Josh Maciejewski gave up one run in two innings and recorded his second save of the season.

The teams split the doubleheader after GCL Yankees West won the first game 4-3 in eight innings.
