FREDERICK, Md. (AP) — Nick Heath homered and had two hits, driving in two as the Wilmington Blue Rocks beat the Frederick Keys 8-3 on Tuesday.
Wilmington started the scoring in the first inning when Heath hit a solo home run.
After Wilmington added four runs in the second, the Keys cut into the deficit in the fourth inning when Alejandro Juvier hit a three-run home run.
The Blue Rocks later added a run in the sixth and two in the ninth. In the sixth, Rudy Martin hit an RBI single, while Heath and Gabriel Cancel both drove in a run in the ninth.
Wilmington right-hander Nolan Watson (2-1) picked up a quality start and the win after allowing three runs on 10 hits over seven innings. Opposing starter Chris Tillman (0-1) took the loss in the Carolina League game after giving up six runs and five hits over 6 1/3 innings.
For the Keys, Juvier homered and singled, driving home three runs.
