GILLETTE, Wyo. (AP) - Authorities say a six-year-old boy was killed in a car crash in northeastern Wyoming.

Campbell County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Gary Sams says a 31-year-old woman driving a minivan in Gillette on Friday slowed down when it began to hail. He says the woman then turned into the inside lane, in front of a pickup, and the vehicles collided.

The Gillette News Record reports that four children were extricated from the van.

Authorities say the six-year-old boy died at the scene. The woman and three other children were taken to a hospital.

Authorities have not released names.
