PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - Rhode Island health officials are urging people to stay out of water at a state beach.
WPRI-TV reports the latest round of water tests at Lincoln Woods State Park Beach showed high bacteria counts.
The same water tests have resulted in the reopening of Ninigret Pond in Charlestown.
Oakland Beach in Warwick, Camp Watmough’s Beach in Glocester, and Briar Point Beach in Coventry are closed to swimmers.
The health department will continue to monitor beach quality throughout the summer.
