BOTTINEAU, N.D. (AP) - Authorities have identified a woman who died in a one-vehicle accident near Bottineau.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol says 28-year-old Kara Montreil, of Bottineau, failed to negotiate a curve early Saturday and drove into a ditch. Authorities say she corrected and crossed the road into the opposite ditch, hitting multiple trees before she was ejected. The vehicle started on fire after coming to a stop.

A 37-year-old passenger was injured in the crash.

The accident remains under investigation.
