FLORENCE, Ore. (AP) - Oregon State Police say a 28-year-old woman was struck and killed by a pickup near Florence.
The agency says the woman from Eugene was walking in a travel lane of Highway 101 while dressed in dark clothing after sunset Monday. Other passing motorists called to express concern shortly before she was struck.
The 70-year-old driver stopped after the collision and is not suspected of any wrongdoing.
