SOUTH JORDAN, Utah (AP) - Authorities say a man is in custody after they were able to track him using a trail of his own blood.
South Jordan Police Lt. Matt Pennington says police received a call Sunday from a man and his wife who reported a man had just opened the passenger door of their car and tried to remove the woman. The husband was able to drive off, and both safely got away.
The suspect, a 41-year-old Ogden man, also was involved in an auto-pedestrian accident and attempted break-ins at a car dealership.
Police tracked the man by his “blood trail” from the auto-pedestrian accident, which lead them to an electrical shed that had been broken into.
The search began around 6:30 p.m. Pennington says the man was located at roughly 8 p.m.
