MONTREAL (AP) - The Montreal Canadiens traded goalie Al Montoya to the Edmonton Oilers on Thursday night for a conditional fourth-round pick this year.
Montreal announced the deal Thursday night shortly after beating the Tampa Bay Lightning 2-1 in a shootout.
The 32-year-old Montoya hasn’t played since suffering a concussion on Nov. 4 in Winnipeg. He was 2-1-0 with a 3.77 goals-against average this season for Montreal, and is 65-47-22 with a 2.63 GAA in 159 career NHL games.
