ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - At least one person is dead and others have been injured in a collision between an ambulance and a privately owned vehicle in Wasilla.
Anchorage television station KTUU reports the ambulance was transporting a patient to the hospital when the crash occurred on Knik-Goose Bay Road. The collision was reported at 1:50 p.m. Thursday.
Mat-Su Borough Emergency Services Director Otto Feather says one person in the private vehicle was killed and another person in it was critically injured. Feather says others in the ambulance sustained minor injuries.
He says all the injured individuals were being taken to the hospital.
