The Republican National Committee has reportedly decided on a replacement for its ousted financial chairman.
According to a report in Politico, citing “multiple GOP sources,” Todd Ricketts will take the post vacated over the weekend by casino mogul Steve Wynn over sexual-misconduct charges.
“The news is expected to be made official this week, when the RNC holds its annual winter meeting in Washington,” Politico reported.
Mr. Ricketts is the brother of Nebraska Gov. Pete Ricketts and the family is the principal owner of the Chicago Cubs.
The Wall Street Journal prompted Mr. Wynn’s resignation with a report last week outlining decades of sexual-misconduct claims. Mr. Wynn denies wrongdoing and denounced the report as the work of his ex-wife.
