At President Trump’s speech at the World Economic Summit, he re-emphasized that America will look out for it’s own interests first, that other countries need to bear the burden of our shared security and that he will implement a free and fair trade policy that he stressed will be “reciprocal.”

What I find astonishing about this is that Mr. Trump was adamantly talking about these topics 30 years ago. Since that time, I’ve been keeping an eye on Mr. Trump and I will testify under oath that he has stayed remarkably true to his core beliefs. In 2011, during the depths of the Great Recession when there was no end is sight to the economic malaise, Mr. Trump released his book, “Time to Get Tough: Making America #1 Again,” in which he chronicled all the ills that are affecting our country and how he would fix it all.

At his June 2015 “Special Announcement” at Trump Tower when he officially announced his candidacy, I dragged my young son out of school and we ventured into Manhattan to watch what I knew would be “history” and told him that for the rest of his life he’d never forget this day.

Not only did Mr. Trump fulfill his prophecy that if he ever ran for president, he’d win, but he also said that he’d be “the greatest jobs president that God ever created.” And so far one year into his presidency, 2.4 million jobs have been created and given the way that he has implemented all his policies from his 2011 book, that’s looking like just the start.

I find it absolutely baffling how anyone can honestly “resist” Trump’s presidency.
