BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - A parking ramp in downtown Bismarck is in need of $1.3 million in repairs.
The Galleria Parking Ramp was built in the early 1980s. Crews in 2014 shored up areas with noticeable deterioration, and The Bismarck Tribune reports the ramp is still structurally sound.
However, an engineer inspected the ramp last November and advised Municipal Parking Authority Chairman Jim Christianson that the situation is not improving.
Christianson says, “We’ve kind of kicked the can down the road as long as we can.” The parking authority plans to put the repair project to bid as early as April.
