HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - A second woman has died of injuries suffered in a hit-and-run crash in Connecticut.

The Hartford Courant reports that 25-year-old Catalina Melendez died Tuesday. She was with 24-year-old Tina Fontanez a week earlier when they were struck by a passing car as they got out of a cab in Hartford. Fontanez was pronounced dead shortly after the crash.

Police have arrested the owner of the car, but are still looking for the driver. They said Wednesday that they expect to make another arrest soon.
