Police: Gun found during search of Philadelphia high school

PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Police say a gun has been found during a search of a Philadelphia high school and a student is in custody.

A police spokesman said Parkway Northwest High School was locked down just after 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.

School police had reported that two students were suspected of bringing firearms into the school.

Police said Wednesday afternoon that a gun was recovered from a second-floor locker and a juvenile student was in custody.

The lockdown was lifted Wednesday afternoon.
