WATERBURY, Conn. (AP) - Authorities in Waterbury are investigating the fatal shooting of a man inside a convenience store.
Deputy Police Chief Fernando Spagnolo says police officers responded to the shooting just after 9 p.m. Friday at Refugio Minimarket. Inside, they found a 49-year-old man who had been shot in the side.
The victim was taken to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead. His name was not immediately released.
Spagnolo says the investigation is “active and ongoing” and anyone with information is urged to call Waterbury police.
