ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - Anchorage police are looking for a sport utility vehicle that may have a connection to a New Year’s Day homicide.
Thirty-nine-year-old Timothy Smith died early Monday in the shooting at Fourth Avenue and D Street.
Police at 12:16 a.m. received a call of shots fired and found Smith with gunshot wounds. He died at a hospital.
Police hope to speak to people inside a silver Chevrolet Blazer that was near the intersection when Smith was shot. They’re also hoping witnesses will come forward if they have information about the SUV.
