MOUNTAIN GROVE, Mo. (AP) - Fire officials say a 7-year-old girl died and four other people were critically injured in a fire in southwest Missouri.
Mountain Grove Fire Chief Mark Bushong says the fire occurred early Monday in Mountain Grove.
Firefighters found the girl’s body after gaining entrance into the home. Ozark Radio News reports officials identified the girl as Kylie Gonzales.
Two adults, Justin Robertson and Nichole Gage, and three children, 8-year-old Hannah Robertson, 5-year-old Haydence Robertson and 8-year-old Adrienne Bradshaw, were treated at a Springfield-area hospital. Robertson and the three children suffered critical injuries. Gage, the mother of two of the children, was treated and released.
The Missouri State Fire Marshal’s office is investigating the cause of the blaze.
