NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Authorities in Pulaski County say a masked man fatally shot a woman who was standing outside her apartment complex with her children.
Lt. Cody Burk says a 5-year-old child was also struck by the gunfire Friday morning, and the shooter has not been caught.
Burk says 30-year-old April Harris died following the shooting about 6:30 a.m. at the complex just outside the North Little Rock city limits.
Burk says Harris was outside the building with her four children when she was approached by a person wearing a ski mask who then shot her and the 5-year-old she was carrying.
Burk says a 9-year-old and 10-year-old twins escaped without injury. Burk says the woman died Friday morning and the 5-year-old child is in stable condition.
