The woman who wants to be the next Speaker of the House of Representatives likened a bill funding the federal government and the children’s health insurance policy (CHIP) to eating dog excrement.

“This is like giving you a bowl of doggie doo, put a cherry on top and call it a chocolate Sunday,” House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said. “This is nothing.”

Her stirring rhetoric had absolutely no impact on the House vote Thursday evening as the funding plan passed with 230 votes, including votes from a handful of Pelosi’s Democrats who were less than inspired by her Churchillian turn of phrase.

Recently, Democrats have been on the verge of hysteria over reports that President Trump used a scatological reference to describe certain “developing nations” within the context of a heated, closed-door meeting about immigration policy.
