1 killed, 1 wounded in Kansas City shooting, police say

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - Authorities say one person has been fatally shot and another wounded in Kansas City.

The Kansas City Star reports that police say the shooting happened around 11 p.m. Wednesday in the northern part of the city. One of the victims died at the scene. The second person was rushed to a hospital. That person’s condition wasn’t immediately known.

Police are urging anyone with information to call the homicide unit or a tips hotline.
