JUNCTION CITY, Ore. (AP) - Authorities arrested a Junction City man accused of brandishing an 8-inch knife that he had used to kill a pit bull.

Sgt. Eric Markell of the Lane County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release that police determined that the man stabbed the dog after it bit him. He says after the pit bull was dead, the man threatened someone responsible for the dog while waving the knife in a menacing fashion.

The man, 42-year-old Christopher Low, was booked into jail on charges of menacing and disorderly conduct.
