WILLINGBORO, N.J. (AP) - A crash in New Jersey has sent a vehicle down an embankment and into a lake, killing two people.
The collision happened Saturday in Willingboro Township.
Investigators say a car traveling at an “excessive rate of speed” lost control and crashed into a minivan at a jug handle. They say the force of the impact sent the minivan over a guardrail, down an embankment and into a lake.
Two people in the minivan were killed. They’ve been identified as 52-year-old Robert Stephens and his 50-year-old wife, Janet, of Burlington Township.
No charges have been filed. The investigation is ongoing.
