Former Vice President Joseph R. Biden said that he would not advise President Trump to sit down with the special counsel because of his “difficulty with precision,” CNN reported Wednesday.

“If I were the president’s lawyer, I’d probably tell him not to sit down with the special counsel,” Mr. Biden said.

“You’re in a situation where the president has some difficulty with precision. And one of the things I would worry about if I were his lawyer is his saying something that’s was simply not true without him even planning to be disingenuous,” he explained.

Mr. Biden was referring to special counsel Robert Mueller reportedly coming closer to the point of asking Mr. Trump to sit for an interview as part of his investigation into allegations of collusion between the president’s campaign and Russia.
