OPINION:
We need sane voices of all political parties balancing and checking each other so we don’t sway to extremes. Now through 2020, after we’ve seen the benefits of tax cuts, the explosion of employment in America and 401(k)s prospering thanks to a soaring stock market (predicted by Democrats to crash if Donald Trump was elected), we will see campaign ads showing that not one Democrat voted for these positive changes.
We’ll see nothing come to fruition from all the negativity hung on President Trump, from accusations of Russian collusion to suggestions of sexual misconduct. At the same time, we may well see Democrats hang by the rope they’ve looped themselves.
We are witnessing the self-destruction of the Democratic Party, a party that these days only wins if America loses. After eight years of living with policies to the left of the beliefs of most Americans, we have seen what happens when one party is in control. Our courts and Justice Department were stacked with activist hacks, laws were changed by executive order and our enemies were allowed to flourish while our own middle class was ignored.
Without balance, you fall. This is the real change that should give Democrats hope.
