FRANKFORT, Ind. (AP) - Authorities have identified the man who was killed after a fire tore through a central Indiana farmhouse.

Frankfort Fire Chief John Kirby said Tuesday that 39-year-old Jason Trail Sr. died after being airlifted to an Indianapolis hospital.

The fire early Monday injured five other people. Kirby says an adult female and a 5-year-old boy are being treated in hospitals for smoke inhalation, and a 14-year-old boy is hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. He says 12- and 13-year-old girls have been released from hospitals. Their names and medical conditions haven’t been released.

Firefighters received a call of a fully involved blaze at the two-story rural farmhouse about 40 miles (64 kilometers) northwest of Indianapolis about 2:20 a.m. Monday.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
