PITTSBURGH (AP) - Authorities are blaming a laptop battery for causing a fire that forced the shutdown of the westbound lanes of Pittsburgh’s Fort Pitt Tunnel.

Pennsylvania’s Transportation Department says the fire broke out in a PennDOT maintenance garage near the tunnel on the Parkway West around 1:45 a.m. Wednesday. The westbound lanes were closed for about two hours.

The flames were confined to a storage area and no one was injured.
