MAPLEWOOD, N.J. (AP) - A New Jersey Transit bus and a garbage truck have crashed head-on, killing the driver of the bus and injuring four other people.
The Essex County prosecutor’s office says the crash happened Tuesday afternoon in Maplewood.
The bus driver was taken to a hospital, where he later died. He’s been identified as 65-year-old Larry Wiley.
The driver of garbage truck and three passengers were taken to a hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
