LAS VEGAS (AP) - A Las Vegas woman says her 92-year-old sister was run over by a car as she was on her way to play bingo.
KSNV-TV reports Francisca Izquerido says her sister Elvira Morales was crossing a street to catch a bus heading to the Boulder Station Casino when she was struck by a pickup truck.
Las Vegas police says a driver in his 60s did not see Morales before he ran her over.
Family members say Morales was a proud United States citizen who emigrated from Mexico in the late 1950’s.
Nicole Show, a neighbor who lives in the area where the accident took place, thinks it would help if there were more crosswalks in the area.
