WEST FARGO, N.D. (AP) - Authorities say firefighters have put out a fuel oil tank fire at a West Fargo tank farm.
KFGO radio reports that the blaze at the Magellan Partners facility on Main Avenue in West Fargo was reported at about 5:30 a.m. Sunday. West Fargo Fire Chief Dan Fuller says a passerby noticed flames at the base of one of the large tanks.
Fuller says it was a non-pressurized tank and there were no concerns about an explosion.
West Fargo and Fargo fire crews responded to the fire along with a hazardous materials team. Special firefighting crews from Grand Forks Air Force Base and Hector International Airport were also called to assist. A drone was also used to allow officials to get a view of the fire from above the tank.
