Chris Mazdzer of Team USA won the silver medal in men’s singles luge at the 2018 Winter Olympics Sunday morning in Pyeongchang.

It was the first Olympic medal of any color that the U.S. has won in that event, and the country’s second overall medal of the 2018 Games.



Mazdzer competed in the past two Winter Games and placed 13th both times.

He set a course record of 47.534 seconds on the third of his four runs in the event, according to Sports Illustrated.
