Missouri man dies after being crushed by tractor

WILLARD, Mo. (AP) - Authorities say a 73-year-old man died after being crushed by a tractor in his barn.

Fire Chief Ken Scott says Bill Bartley died Wednesday in the accident near Willard.

Scott said the tractor went up a barn wall and fell back on top of Bartley. He says Bartley either had a medical problem or lost control of the tractor.

The Springfield News-Leader reports crews had to take the roof off the barn and use a crane to lift the tractor off of Bartley.

The Greene County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
