LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Forecasters say some parts of northern Arkansas could see light wintry precipitation later this week.

The National Weather Service in Little Rock says much of the state will see cold rain on Wednesday and Thursday, but some areas in the north could see up to 1 inch of snow or light freezing rain.

Forecasters say the wintry precipitation is most likely in the Ozark and Ouachita Mountains.

The weather service says dry and milder temperatures are expected into the weekend.
