STAMFORD, Conn. (AP) - A railroad official says a body has been found at a train station in Stamford.

A Metro-North Railroad spokeswoman tells the Greenwich Time that the person was found Saturday under the train platform at the Springdale station.

The spokeswoman says the cause of death has yet to be determined. The person’s family is still being notified.

Metro-North tweeted at about 4 p.m. that New Canaan Branch service had been delayed for the police investigation. It tweeted later that a substitute bus service is in place for the branch because of the investigation.
