PEABODY, Mass. (AP) - One person has been killed and two others seriously injured in a head-on car crash north of Boston.

Peabody police say the crash happened at around 1 a.m. Saturday.

Both vehicle operators, a 22-year-old male and a 43-year-old female, were transported to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston after being extricated from their vehicles. A 51-year-old male passenger in the vehicle driven by the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.



Police haven’t released the names of the victims and no charges have been filed. The cause of the crash remains under investigation and the condition of the drivers wasn’t available Saturday.
