LAKE HAVASU CITY, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities in western Arizona are investigating the discovery of human remains in the desert.

The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office says a hiker found the remains near Lake Havasu City on Dec. 14. They were east of Highway 95 near mile post 193.

Foul play isn’t suspected.

The sheriff’s office says a hooded camouflage sweatshirt and shorts, a blue T-shirt with the words “New York City” and black tennis shoes were found near the body.

Authorities say the remains are that of a man, believed to be about 5-foot-7 with colored tattoos on both forearms.

They are asking anyone with information about his death to call the sheriff’s office.
