Lehi student injured after being hit by school bus

LEHI, Utah (AP) - A student in Lehi is recovering after being hit by a school bus.

Alpine School District spokeswoman Kimberly Bird told Salt Lake City’s KUTV the incident occurred around 7:20 a.m. Monday.

The student was darting across the school bus lanes at the time.

Bird says it appears the bus driver did not see the student.

The student suffered an injury to the lower leg and was transported to a hospital.

Bird did not know the student’s current condition.

The incident remains under investigation.
