AMHERST, N.Y. (AP) - The New York state Assembly will examine the effectiveness of economic development programs meant to boost technology jobs.
Assembly committee chairmen Robin Schimminger and Fred Thiele will take testimony on Monday during a hearing at the University at Buffalo.
They say the hearing is meant to examine the effectiveness of economic development programs that leverage state funds to translate technology advancements into business development. The lawmakers are interested in the impact of the programs on things like job creation and attracting new investment.
