CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - Two more West Virginia ski resorts have opened their slopes for the winter season.
Canaan Valley Resort in Davis and Winterplace Ski Resort in Raleigh County began offering skiing, snowboarding and snowtubing on Saturday.
Snowshoe Mountain in Pocahontas County opened its slopes during the Thanksgiving holiday. The resort’s Silver Creek area began welcoming skiers Friday.
Oglebay Resort in Wheeling and Timberline Four Seasons Resort in Davis plan to open for skiers later this month.
The state’s ski and snowboard season typically lasts through early April.
