Comedian Sarah Silverman says it’s time for her to mock “Allah” in addition to Christian “motherf——-s.”
The host of Hulu’s “I Love You, America” released a new promotional video this week, which explicitly addresses the claim that she shies away from insulting Muslims.
“I will send you to hell for eternity if you murder, steal, do guy-on-guy butt sex,” a disembodied voice says in the ad for her show’s second season.
Ms. Silverman feigns outrage until the voice tells her to “take a chill pill” because he “created gay people.”
“Oh. Phew! You got me. You’re a real son of a gun, God,” she replies, the media watchdog NewsBusters reported Thursday.
“Call me Allah,” the voice responds.
The host then turns to the camera and says: “Hey everyone frantically typing emails about how I’m once again disrespecting the Christian God. Guess what, motherf——-s?”
New episodes of “I Love You, America” premiere Sept. 6.
