GALESBURG, Kan. (AP) - Authorities say a farmer has found human remains while mowing a field in southeast Kansas.

Kansas Bureau of Investigation spokeswoman Nichole Hamm said in a news release that the remains haven’t been identified. They were found Monday morning in Neosho County and have been taken to the Shawnee County Coroner’s office for examination.

The KBI says the investigation is being treated as a suspicious death.
