LINDENHURST, N.Y. (AP) - Police on Long Island say a man has died after his mobility scooter collided with a pickup truck.
Suffolk County police say 58-year-old Arye Sachs was pronounced dead at a hospital after the crash on Monday in Lindenhurst.
Police say the driver of the pickup, 62-year-old John Glomann of Keeseville, New York, was not injured.
Both the pickup and the scooter have been impounded for safety checks.
