SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Police in Salt Lake City are investigating the fatal stabbing of a teenage boy.
Authorities say the incident occurred just before 1:30 a.m. Monday near Kensington Avenue and State Street.
Police say two groups were in an argument that resulted in the 17-year-old victim getting stabbed in the torso.
He was taken to a hospital where later died from his injuries.
Police have not released his name pending family notification.
Sgt. Richard Chipping says there are no indications that the fight was gang-related. Investigators are interviewing witnesses and going through surveillance video.
