CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) - A man was shot multiple times while traveling in a vehicle on a major North Carolina highway.
News outlets report that a portion of I-85 in Charlotte was shut down Monday after the interstate shooting occurred.
Police said they believe multiple shots were fired from a vehicle that pulled up next to the victim’s car as it was moving down the highway.
Police said they found the victim inside his car with several gunshot wounds. Police said the man has serious injuries, but they are not life threatening.
No immediate motive for the shooting was given and no immediate arrests were made.
