Freedom of the press does not mean the freedom to lie or tell half-truths. All news outlets have a duty to inform the public, no matter who is in office — and to leave their personal feelings at home.

I’m sorry if they don’t like the current president; I didn’t like President Obama, but he was my president and I didn’t want him to fail. However, liberals continue to howl at the moon over a Trump presidency, and are so blinded with hate that they haven’t figured out unemployment is low, the economy is booming and their 401(k)s are exploding.

If TV news and newspapers would tell the truth, the president wouldn’t have a reason to use Twitter in order to circumvent the media, which has now told the public to denounce the president. FDR used radio and Eisenhower and Kennedy used TV, so the news media should surrender and accept as permanent this new presidential medium of communication.

One last thought: If Mr. Trump is a Russian stooge, the Russians sure have a strange new agenda — because Mr. Trump is strengthening the U.S. economy, rebuilding our military, lowering unemployment, cutting taxes, and embracing Jerusalem as Israel’s rightful capital.

So put the hate down, do some yoga and then read something else besides The New York Times.
