TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - The Tucson Fire Department conducted two water rescues within 20 minutes Friday night, getting a total of four people to safety after two vehicles were driven into storm runoff water on the city’s south side.
The department says firefighters used a ladder to rescue two people from a SUV that was pinned against a concrete pillar as it was driven through a wash.
Firefighters then were called to a nearby location where two people had gotten on top of a truck. A ladder also was used in that rescue.
