ATLANTA (AP) - Atlanta native and actor Shameik Moore and New York-based DJ Tiff McFierce have teamed up for a school supply giveaway to 530 elementary students in Georgia.

Moore and McFierce joined with California-based Yoobi, a school, home and office supplies company, Thursday to donate to students at Hambrick Elementary School in Stone Mountain, Georgia.

Moore is the voice of protagonist Miles Morales in Sony Pictures’ upcoming “Spider-Man: Into the Spider Verse.” He encouraged students to think about how they could be everyday superheroes and gifted them with an exclusive Spider-Man poster. Students also celebrated with a Back-to-School Yoobi Dance Party featuring McFierce, the first woman resident DJ at Madison Square Garden for the New York Knicks and New York Liberty.

McFierce says having the necessary supplies can make all the difference in a student’s life.
