BOSTON (AP) - Gasoline prices are down in Massachusetts.
AAA Northeast says Tuesday its weekly survey found self-serve regular selling for an average of $2.83 per gallon in the Bay State, a one cent drop from last week.
Massachusetts’ price is 2 cents below the national average of $2.85 per gallon.
AAA Northeast’s director of public and legislative affairs Mary Maguire says prices have been relatively flat the past few weeks, suggesting U.S. gas supply and demand are balancing.
Prices range from as low as $2.69 to a high of $3.05 across the state.
A year ago at this time, gas prices were averaging $2.29 per gallon, 54 cents lower than the current price.
