TROY, N.Y. (AP) - A 27-year-old Hudson Valley man is headed to prison for two to six years for causing a crash that left two state troopers and a tow truck driver with severe injuries.
Authorities say Christopher Neumann, of Castleton-on-Hudson, was sentenced Monday in Rensselaer County Court.
In June, Neumann pleaded guilty to vehicular assault for the March crash on Interstate 90 in the town of East Greenbush.
Two troopers and a tow truck driver were at the scene of an earlier accident when Neumann’s car left the highway, slammed into one of the trooper cars and then hit the troopers and the tow truck operator.
Neumann admitted to being impaired by drugs and alcohol at the time of the 5:15 a.m. crash.
