CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - Two offices that help people with disabilities find and keep jobs are being merged to save money months after the state revealed significant financial troubles.
The Department of Education said in April that its vocational rehabilitation bureau for years spent millions more than it took in. That prompted a restructuring of the bureau and an effort to preserve as many services as possible while cutting costs.
Officials said this past week that the Nashua and Manchester offices will merge, with operations continuing in Manchester.
