HUNSTVILLE, Ala. (AP) - A police officer in Alabama has died two weeks after an on-duty car crash.

The Huntsville Police Department announced Officer Keith Earle’s death on Monday in a news release.

Al.com reports that Earle was injured on a head-on collision on the morning of March 26 and had been in a hospital since the crash.



Another driver also was injured in the collision.

Earle was a Huntsville police officer for nearly 26 years.
